of the Kamloops Singles and Dating Club: The Kamloops
Dating and Singles Club was started in January, 2001. Because
of job schedules, reluctance to go out alone or other personal reasons,
many people find it difficult to meet others of similar ages and interests.
Our Club activities help to bridge this gap in their lives by providing
the social functions that are so necessary to bring people together. So,

and bored with going to pubs, night clubs, and not having many "single"
friends to do things with, I decide to start an activities club as a way
to meet new friends and have new friends to do things with. The very first
coffee meeting brought out about 12 people, and it has been growing from
there. We have had many people meet through the club and either living
together, or made new friends thru the club. As a matter of fact, that
is where I met my girlfriend Loralie, almost 2 years ago, was at the first
coffee meeting at Chapters Book store. Another thing that really gave
the club a big boost to get going was the famous singles ring :) which
is part of an international singles club. They sell these rings all over
the world and it is a great way for shy people to meet other single people
and offeres a way to strike up a conversation. We have sold many rings
here in the interior and will be selling many more. Online
Personal ads: We started the online personal
ads website (www.matchmaking.ca) in Late October, 2001. We now have over
15,000 thousand personal ads (and growing everyday) from single people
around the world. Since this site started in Kamloops, most of the profiles
are from the interior of BC. Although we do plan on a huge international
expansion, our biggest growth should always be from Western Canada. We
should have a brand new site up and running with many more search options,
and other capabilities. The site has an anonymous emailer,
so it is a very safe way to meet other single people. Members
will be able to put their own personal profile with a picture on to the
site. Then they will be able to search other members profiles and make
contact with them. When contact is made, all email addresses are not seen,
so that only when you feel comfortable, you can give someone your personal

installed. Here, you can chat with members of the club, and go into a
private chat room and chat with and send private messages to certain people
you want to make a more personal contact with. There is no cost to put a personal
